When You Leave Your Car Places

You have to go get it.

Now I have to walk 20 minutes to wait on a van-bus. Then ride the van-bus 20 minutes to APDwest to get my car. Then drive 20 minutes back to my apartment. All because yesterday morning I decided that my whole group driving to town separately was pointless and carpooling in my buddy’s Charger.

Also, my phone and wallet are in my car. So the whole day trip to KC and back in a 15 passenger yesterday sucked (and I was hungry).

I’m just venting, because said trip went well for me which angered others in the group.

When I go off the island I leave my car at the park n’ ride lot and then take a shuttle to the ferry. My house is closer to the ferry than it is to the lot.

I assumed I’d bum a ride out there when we got back last night. However, by the time we did I just wanted to sleep. At least the bus is free.

Bman76 (who is an Architecture Grad student) proposed a simple but well thought out and detailed minimalist solution, whereas many of his classmates designed large, complex-ish, clunky structures. The professor liked mine, and criticized many of theirs.

Yeah, it’s an older, less aerodynamic bus conversion. Almost nobody rides this route anyway.
